MotiGamble

Do you gamble for fun or to win?

Winning makes you feel good

Gambling can give you a feeling of happiness and satisfaction when you win. This stimulates the reward system in your brain and can therefore be addictive. In order to experience that same good feeling again, you increase your bets. This can cause you to lose more money than you can afford, and in an attempt to win back your losses, you continue to gamble. This can lead to increasing debts and eventually to gambling dependency. Do

you recognize this? Do you notice that gambling increasingly affects your thoughts and daily life?
Then MotiGamble can support you. Together we look for ways to get your gambling behavior under control again.

Facts and myths about gambling

Can you get better at gambling?

It can sometimes seem like you have found the perfect way to win. A certain time, that one game, betting a fixed amount over and over again or choosing the 'right' numbers - it can give the impression that you have cracked the code. Of course, this is not true. Gambling is a game of chance where the outcome is completely random. It is not possible to get better at it or to guarantee a profit.

Profit and loss

A legal (online) casino is required to pay out a fixed portion of the total bets as profit, the so-called RTP percentage (Return to Player). Although this percentage is fixed, the moment and distribution of payouts is unpredictable. This means that you can bet a hundred times without profit, while another player wins the jackpot immediately with the first bet. It remains a 'gamble'.

Gambling and self-care

The more time you spend gambling, the less time you have left for other things. If you notice that you are paying less attention to yourself, are often late for work or appointments because you gamble (online) until late at night, or that gambling is costing you more and more money, it may be wise to take a good look at your gambling behavior. MotiGamble can support you in this, so that gambling does not have a negative impact on your life.
